Five on Friday

Happy Friday, friends! I'm so looking forward to the weekend... don't we always?!

Linking up again with the fabulous ladies from A. Liz Adventures, Carolina Charm, Hello! Happiness and The Good Life Blog for another 5 on Friday!

{ONE}

So happy to have our Holiday cards live on Etsy! I have a few more designs in the works, so stay tuned for one more update this season. And, thank you all for your comments and emails... its so nice to hear positive feedback after many months of tweaking the designs.

And... don't forget, all readers can use the code EOSHOLIDAY13 for 10% off any digital file order!

{TWO}

Our 20-week appointment was excellent (eek - that was already 2 weeks ago!!) and I'm so relieved to have that behind us. There were some concerns about Baby B's heart prior to this appointment, so we were happy to hear that his heart is structurally sound and that both boys are on track & developing as they should be.

And here's a little peek at our pumpkins!

{THREE}

A's Halloween costume arrived, and the cuteness is killing me. His latest obsession is "hut hut" - aka football. So when I asked him what he wanted to be for Halloween, he of course, told me "hut-hut".

I ordered this costume from Amazon, and while its a little big, I've never seen a cuter "hut-hut" in all my life.

This Halloween is the first time we've actually gotten to celebrate (and I pray I'm not jinxing it by writing that). Two years ago, we had a freak snowstorm on October 30th, and Halloween was cancelled. Last year? Hurricane Sandy hit the east cost on October 29th, and seeing as our town was without power for 11 days, Halloween was cancelled then, too. I'm already counting the days until we can Trick or Treat!!

{FOUR}

My Erin Condren Planner is ending in a few months, so it's almost time to order a new one! I've professed my love for my planner before (yes, because I'm a huge dork), and while checking out some of the covers on Pinterest, I came across the Plum Paper Planners on Etsy. Have you seen these before?

Super cute covers, a layout almost identical to Erin Condren, and oh - its only $30!

{FIVE}

This little boy... my whole heart. He gave us quite a scare when he fell backwards down the stairs from our playroom this weekend. Before you judge me because the gate wasn't closed... A knows how to open and close the gates now, so sometimes I think its silly to close it because he just opens it when he wants. I've taken for granted that he's so comfortable on the stairs, and I had forgotten he could trip while playing and really hurt himself.

Needless to say, he fell down the 8 stairs, flipped feet over head, and landed on his shoulder/neck. There was a lot of blood, a lot of tears, and C and I were besides ourselves with worry. We were pretty certain he didn't have a concussion, but we were worried about a broken nose and any other unseen injuries. Thankfully, A only has a bruise on his nose and a barely noticeable black eye. But I can honestly say, I'm the one that will never ever be the same.

In that instant, I realized how precious and fragile his little life is. How one little mishap - falling down the stairs - could have turned into something much more serious. I would do anything, anything, to keep this little guy from feeling pain in his life. To keep him safe all the time. Last weekend was an eye-opener for me... to not be moving full-speed all the time, to slow down and savor the moments, to remember that he's only 2 and a half... and to remember to close the gate.

Five on Friday: Etsy Baby Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! I'm so looking forward to the weekend with my boys, seeing some family & friends, and enjoying this gorgeous fall weather!

The last few weeks I've felt a little consumed by all things BABY (in a good way!). I finally went through all of A's old clothes to see what we're keeping for the twins, and made a little running list of things we still need to get. Etsy, of course, is one of my go-to places for baby clothing, so today I'm sharing my five favorite finds from the week!

Linking up again with the fabulous ladies from A. Liz Adventures, Carolina Charm, Hello! Happiness and The Good Life Blog for another 5 on Friday!

{ONE}

How adorable are these teeny hats?! My sweet friend reminded me the other day that we're having winter babies, and that I should stock up on some cute hats.  Kailee, the owner, is as sweet as can be, and let me know that she's launching her new fall collection on Wednesday, October 2nd! Can't wait to see her new patterns & snatch up some adorable hats for the boys!

{TWO}

More hats, sorry. But seriously, is this not the most perfect hat for two winter babies being born in the northeast?! My only hesitation is that if I buy two of them, the twins may be subjected to wearing them from January through April :)

{THREE}

Monogrammed footed sleepers. I'm thinking these will be the boys' coming home outfits... and will also provide some necessary documentation as to who-is-who if they're hard to tell apart in the beginning!

{FOUR}

Little A had one of these bibs from The Lab when he was a babe, and we loved it. I think it's only fitting that our two new additions also have a some Otto-loving apparel, too. He is, after-all, their oldest brother!

{FIVE}

And last but not least, birthday plates. Even though he's already two, I don't think its too late to start this tradition with A. And this way all of our boys will have their own birthday plate, that we use each year, and maybe, maybe, I'll let them take it with them when they get married. I love little traditions like this!

 Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Five on Friday: Make-up Must Haves

Linking up with the ladies from A. Liz Adventures, Carolina Charm, Hello! Happiness and The Good Life Blog for another 5 on Friday! I don't consider myself a make-up guru by any means, but I do think I know what works for me & my skin. I also think it's really fun to hear what other bloggers use for make-up, so today I'm sharing my top 5 make-up must haves!

{ONE}

Tarte BB Tinted 12-Hour Primer

I've always been skeptical of primer, but during this humid summer, I needed something to help with keeping my makeup on for the entire work day. Since I am pregnant, I wanted to look for a natural product, and since Tarte's products are made without parabens, sulfates, petrochemicals, phthalates, GMOs and triclosan, this seemed like a safe bet. It really does help keep my makeup in place.

{TWO}

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Foundation

LOVE this. After many years as a loyal Bobbi Brown foundation customer, I knew it would take a special foundation to make me switch. The amazing reviews on Sephora didn't hurt, and I loved that this claimed to last 12 hours and has SPF in it.

{THREE}

Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes! Mascara

Are you noticing a trend with Tarte makeup? This mascara is perfect for day-time: light, doesn't clump and goes on smoothly.

{FOUR}

Bare Minerals Touch Up Veil Pressed Powder

I've been using this powder for over a year now, and love how it creates the perfect layer over foundation. Somehow it just makes my makeup feel "complete" before starting with bronzer & blush.

{FIVE}

Laura Mercier Lip Glace

Confession: My dear friend gave this to me last month, and overnight, it became my favorite lip product, E.V.E.R. And now I can't find it, anywhere. Not as in they don't sell it, but I can't find mine. I plan on tearing apart every purse I own this weekend until I find it! Goes on smooth and doesn't actually feel like lip gloss, hands down one of the best products I've used!

Five on Friday

Linking up with the ladies from A. Liz Adventures, Carolina Charm, Hello! Happiness and The Good Life Blog for another 5 on Friday! Today I'm sharing a whole lot of randomness - it's a peek inside my real life ;)

{ONE}

First and foremost, we received the most wonderful news this week that we're expecting twin BOYS. I can't put into words how full my heart feels, and how excited I am to be a mom of 3 little boys.

{TWO}

I am in full-blown nesting mode. I found this on Pinterest and laughed so hard. This is exactly how I feel lately. I'll be sharing next week everything that was subject to my wrath. Operation Make Room for Twins is happening. Now.

{THREE}

After a little mishap on vacation, my beloved Kindle was gone for good. My parents were so sweet to surprise me with a Kindle fire for my birthday, and I've been so happy to be reading again.  Oh, and my cute new orange case doesn't hurt either!

{FOUR}

I may be the last person on earth to read it, but I just finished The Hunger Games trilogy, and LOVED IT. It's not really my type of book, but I'm having complete Hunger Games withdrawal now that it's over. I think I've convinced C that we need to watch the movie next weekend ;)

{FIVE}

Last but not least, it's been true fall weather the last few nights. Cool enough that we need our sweatshirts to hang around the house, and a blanket over our legs while watching TV. I love every single second of it. The fall decorations are out, the fall candles are burning, and my favorite TV shows come back on in a few weeks.  LOVE this time of year!

Five on Friday: Waiting on Fall

Linking up with the ladies from A. Liz Adventures, Carolina Charm, Hello! Happiness and The Good Life Blog for another 5 on Friday! Today I'm sharing all the little things I'm loving (& buying) to get ready for fall!

{ONE}

I've been a little obsessed with holiday jammies lately (for A, not for me!).  Here are a few Halloween jammies I've purchased in the last week... and I may or may not have also purchased 3 sets of winter/Christmas jammies, too!

And if you are looking for some more adorable jammies for your little, check out my dear friend Emily's post!

{TWO}

These two plug-ins found their way into my basket at Yankee Candle. I think the little owl will find a home in our kitchen, and the jack-o-latern in our bathroom. And of course I had to add a few fall scents too ;)

{THREE}

Fall beers are my favorite. Just ask my husband. I wait all year for all the pumpkin & harvest beers to be released. While I won't be enjoying these this year, you better believe I'll be stocking up on some to keep in our spare fridge until January. Shock Top Pumpkin Wheat is on the top of my list!

{FOUR}

This adorable wreath is going to be my next DIY. I made a similar one a few years ago, but I like the idea of the larger pine cones for the front door. Add that ribbon is the perfect golden yellow for fall.

{FIVE}

I love how simple & sweet this saying is. The chalkboard in our dining room has been blank for some time, so I this weekend I'll be adding my own "eat, drink & give thanks".

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Five on Friday: Birthday Edition

August is birthday month, so I'm sharing my birthday wish list. Subtle, right?

Linking up with A. Liz Adventures, Carolina Charm, Hello! Happiness and The Good Life Blog for another 5 on Friday!

{ONE}

How perfect is this cardigan for fall? Since I'm already feeling so big, I have a feeling that leggings and some cozy cardigans are going to be my work-from-home and weekend staple.

{TWO}

I've been coveting a pair of Kendra Scott earrings for so long now, that I can't believe I don't own a pair. Every time I get an email for 15% off, I say to myself, "today is the day!" ... I think these would be perfect to dress up or dress down, and would add a little fun to my everyday "work" uniform.

{THREE}

The Naked 2 Palette. In keeping with my new year's resolution, I really want to learn how to apply eye makeup. Properly. With so many wonderful reviews, this seems like the perfect shadow collection to experiment with.

{FOUR}

I think it's finally time to say goodbye to my iPhone. Nothing seems to work, especially since it has a mind of its own and decides to shut off for 20-30 minutes for no reason (with a full battery). Love this case for the new iPhone 5! If I could just figure out a way to get all 3,000 pictures onto my computer...

{FIVE}

I pinned this vest today, and I was so excited... until I realized it was for crewcuts! Do you think I can just order the biggest size and call it a day? Maybe I'd fit in it after the twins were born.... maybe. So cute though, right?

In all seriousness, finding out about our two little angels on the way (and hearing they are healthy), was the best birthday gift I could have received. Can't wait to love on them, and make A a big brother!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! The Mr. and I are sneaking away for a date night when his parents come to visit, and I am so SO excited. C is looking forward to the amazing wine list... and me? Stuffing my face without bribing anyone to have "one more bite"!

Five on Friday

Helllllo Friday! I'm so happy you're here!

First and foremost, thank you all so much for all the messages and well wishes about our big news! We were completely overwhelmed with the outpouring of love & congratulations. We're so excited for this next chapter in our lives, as crazy as it may be!

So now that our secret is out, I'm sharing five baby & pregnancy items that I'm loving (or lusting after) lately!

Linking up with Darci & friends for another installment of Five on Friday!

{ONE}

I never saw the need for a pregnancy pillow when I was pregnant with A, but now that I'm already as big as I was at 20 weeks, I see one of these in my future. And this one is super duper stylish, to boot.

{TWO}

My dear, dear friend (and mom to a 4.5 year-old AND 10-month old twin boys) was here for a night last week, and gifted me with her "bible" to twin pregnancy. I cannot remember their exact weights at birth, but both of her boys weighed well over 7 pounds when she delivered at 37 weeks, and she swears by this book. I'm almost done, and have already learned so much about maternal nutrition and all the things I need to be doing to keep these babies in as long as possible.

{THREE}

These Loft jeans are from the end of my first pregnancy, but have made an early appearance with this pregnancy. While I can still wear my pre-pregnancy jeans with a belly band, some days its nice to have a break from them. And now that I had to go on the site to find a picture, I see these are 60% off. Hello, second pair!

{FOUR}

Stripes are my weakness. That is all.

{FIVE}

This pictures pretty much make my heart melt.
